Need
another hand around the house? Adjusting to your National Guard Member’s military
service may put you in some unknown territory when it comes to running your household.
Keeping up certain aspects of the house could be a new role for you – if you have
no idea where to begin, we can help!
For help with everything (but the kitchen sink).
Your local hardware store isn’t just for parts. Go there to ask for assistance in
home repair, maintenance, appliance repair/replacements, as they are likely connected
to the service providers in your area. This is a good start to navigating your new
responsibilities while your National Guard Member away.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
If it’s personal assistance you need, contact the Family Program
staff or a local volunteer. Faith-based communities
may also be a good starting place to find people who can offer a helping hand.
