Conner, Sr. - Program Manager, Office of Warrior Support, National Guard Bureau
As Program Manager for the Office of Warrior Support, Mr. Conner, Sr. is responsible
for developing policy, programs, and training in support of National Guard members
and their families relating to the Department of Defense TRICARE program and Department
of Veteran Affairs entitlements. He is the principal advisor to the Chief, Family
Programs and the National Guard Bureau J1 on all issues related to TRICARE and veteran
programs. Additionally, he provides program management and oversight of the Transition
Assistance Advisor program and coordinates with the Department of Veterans Affairs
and Department of Defense to improve benefits delivery and transition efforts of
Guard members and their families.
Mission Statement
Warrior Support serves those who served America by providing a
Transition Assistance Advisor in each state and territory to help Guard
members and their families with accessing Veterans Affairs benefits and filing claims,
TRICARE, state benefits, and access to community resources.
Program Vision
The National Guard Bureau Warrior Support Office sets the standard for superior
customer service to National Guard members and veterans by meeting their needs for
assistance with entitlements and benefits due them as a result of their commitment
to serve our country. We will achieve this goal through top-notch management leadership,
employment of a dedicated and compassionate workforce in all the states and territories,
and teamwork with the Department of Veterans
Affairs and our coalition partners.
