Reservists Welcome
The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program and Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program
events were created with you in mind. National Guard and Reserves members are often
geographically scattered, so it makes sense for you to seek out an event close to
home, even if your service affiliation isn’t hosting it. So if you’re not in the
National Guard and would like to attend a Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program event
sponsored by a National Guard unit, with your Services’ permission, you can!
Will the event still apply to me?
Absolutely. These events are designed to bring you in contact with your local support
network and provide information to keep you and your Family ready and resilient
during your deployment, regardless of your service affiliation.
How to attend a National Guard hosted event:
- Find an event on the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program events
listing
- Contact your chain of command for permission to attend a National Guard hosted event,
and provide them with details of the event
- Contact your local Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program
Event Coordinator or register on the Event Details page of your selected event
to arrange attendance
*Note: An event may be closed to non-unit members due to the nature or classification
of that unit’s mission.
Additional information about events for Reserve components other than the National
Guard can be found on the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Yellow Ribbon
Reintegration Program page at www.yellowribbonevents.org.
